5) b) - D

Explanation

Now lets see how to solve this question.

First, read all the sentences and find out the independent sentences. Look at the Sentence (A), it talks about some group, but the question arises which group they are talking about. So this means A will not be the first sentence.

Come to sentence (B), it starts with 'then'. Then is generally used as next in order of time or place. It means there must be some sentence before Sentence (B).

Sentence (C) is talking about Edutor, decided by a group of engineers. This will also be not the first sentence as we do not know about which thing engineers have taken a decision.

Sentence (D) starts with 'They'. Now it's obvious, that we will think about whom they are talking about. So, this will also not be the first sentence.

Look at Sentence (E) - 'With this desire'. Again the question arises which desire. So leave this sentence also as this will also not be the first sentence.

Now, the only option left is the Sentence (F). So this will be the first sentence.

As we came to know about the first sentence, start making pairs of qualifier and qualified sentences.

In the first sentence (F), it is talking about some device and what should it be called? Now observe Sentence (C). In this, a group of engineers has decided the name of the device, Edutor. So, here Sentence (C) is qualifier of Sentence (F).

Now observe Sentence (A). It clarifies about the desire mentioned in Sentence (E). So, here Sentence (E) is qualifier of Sentence (A).

Now only two sentences have left, Sentence (D) and Sentence (B). In sentence (E), it is mentioned about the students and in Sentence (D), they are being used for students who can take tests and submit them digitally. So, Sentence (D) is qualifier of Sentence (E).

As only one option left now, i.e. Sentence (B) is the last sentence of the sequence.

Here is the correct sequence of the sentences:

(F) A mechanic works on motors and accountant has his computer. Likewise, if a student has to work on a machine of device, what should it be called?

(C) Edutor, decided by the group of engineers, all alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology, when they founded Edutor Technologies in August, 2009.

(A) The group desired to enhance the learning experience in schools with an interactive digital medium that can be used within and outside the classrooms.

(E) With this desire they created a solution that digitalises the school text books and other learning material so that students no longer need to carry as many books to school and back as before, but can access their study material on their touch screen tablets.

(D) They can even take tests and submit them digitally using the same tablets and teachers in turn can download the tests using the company's cloud services.

B) Then the teacher can act on the downloaded data rather than collect it from each and every student and thereby save his time and effort.

Though explanation of the solution seems to be long and complicated, but you will find it easy with constant practice. So keep practicing.
