Shyam Benegal Committee formed by the Govt. of India

  • Shyam Benegal Committee formed by the Govt. of India to revamp the Censor Board of Film Censors (CBFC) on 01st January 2016 while Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Bhawana Somaaya etc. became members of the Committee.

Raptor MoU approved by the Govt. of India

  • MoU for the conservation of migratory birds of prey in Africa and Eurasia has approved by the Govt. of India on 30th December 2015. It is important to noting that the MoU also known as ‘Rapto MoU’.

Haryana set the educational qualification for municipal polls

  • The State Government of Haryana set the educational qualification for municipal polls on 29th December 2015 as approved in the State Cabinet meeting chaired by Manohar Lal Khattar. Now the minimum qualification became matric for male and middle for females candidates.

Govt. of India linked the LPG subsidy to income

  • Govt. of India linked the LPG subsidy to income on 28th December 2015. Now the consumer or his/her spouse has taxable income of more than Rs.10 Lakh, he/she will not get the cylinder on subsidy rate.

Japan and South Korea signed the agreement on ‘Issue of Comfort Women’

  • Japan and South Korea signed the agreement on ‘Issue of Comfort Women’ on 28th December 2015 with the aim to resolve the dispute over women of Korea who used as sex slaves by soldiers of Japan during the World War-II.

Jetha Bharwad appointed as 1st Vice-Chairman of GCMMF

  • Jetha Bharwad appointed as 1st Vice-Chairman of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) on 29th December 2015. GCMMF is a largest food products marketing organization of India.
