Sahitya Academy Awards 2015-16

Sahitya Academy announced their names for 23 Sahitya Academy awards winners for 2015 on December 17,2015. The award takes into consideration the best collection in 23 Indian languages that including 6 books of short stories, 6 of poetry, 4 novels, 2 books each of essays, criticism and 1 memoir.

The distinguished jury members represent 23 Indian languages and approved by the Executive Board of the Akedmi, under its President Bishwanath Prasad Tiwari. The award comprises of an engraved plaque, a shawl and a cheque of Rs. 1 Lakh.
