## Ques 1.

Find the wrong number in given series 2, 34, 64, 92, 118, 142, 160

**Solution :**

2+16*2 =34

34+15*2=64

64+14*2=92

92+13*2 =118

118+12*2=142

142+11*2 = 164

## Ques 2.

Difference between compound interest and simple is 930 at 10% per annum for 3 years . Find the sum ?

**Solution :**

Difference = P * [(300+R)*R^2] / [100]^3

==> 930 = P*[(300+10)*10^2] / [100]^3

==> P = 30,000

## Ques 3.

P invested 5000 in for 1 year and Q joined later with 20000 . If at the end of year both received equal share of profit . Find how many months Q invested ?

**Solution :**

==> [5000*12]/[20000*X] = 1/1

==> X = 3 months

## Ques 4.

X^2+11X+24 = 0 ; Y^2+12Y+35 = 0

**Solution :**

==> X^2+8X+3X+24=0

==> X(X+8)+3(X+8) =.0

==> X = -3 ; -8

==>Y^2+7Y+5Y+35=0

==> Y = -7 ; -5

No relationship established

## Ques 5.

Present Average age of son and father is 34 . ratio of son and mother age is 5:9 . If mother age is 36 years , Find the age of father after 13 years ?

**Solution :**

36 -------- 9

X --------- 5

Son age (X) = 20

Father age = 34*2 - 20 = 48

Father age after 13 years = 48+13 = 61 years

## Ques 6.

A 250 m long train crosses bridge with speed of 60 kmph in 24 sec . Find the length of bridge ?

**Solution :**

600m --------- 36 sec ( As reference of 60 kmph . It will cover 600m in 36 sec )

250 + X -------- 24 sec

==> X = 400-250 = 150m

## Ques 7.

(1/8) / (2 1/8 ) * 34/5 * 4/3 = ?

**Solution :**

=1/8 * 8/17 * 34/5 * 4/3

## Ques 8.

A , B and C can complete a work in 10 days , 20 days and 25 days respectively . If A is assistance by B and C on alternative days , then how many days it will take complete work ?

**Solution :**

L.C.M of 10 , 20 and 25 = 100

A efficiency = 10

B efficiency = 5

C efficiency = 4

One day A completes 10 units work and second day with assistance of B an C they completed 19 units

For 2 days they will complete = 29 units

Time taken to finish work (10 +19+10+19+10+19+10+3) = 7 3/19 days

## Ques 9.

Gopi drew two cards from a pack of 52 cards . What is the probability of one spade and one queen ?

**Solution :**

Total number of spades in 52 cards of pack = 13

Total number of queens in 52 cards of pack = 4

Probability = [13C1*4C1]/[52C2]

= [13*4]/[52*51/2]

=[13*4]/[26*51] = 2/51

## Ques 10.

Kapil makes 40% in 1st year and 2nd year he had loss of 10% of capital which he had at beginning of 2nd year .His overall gain and loss in capital ?
