Answers:

1. Option D

→ Science and tech books published by A = 2964 – 2584 = 380
→  Science and tech books published by E = 2255 – 1965 = 290
→  Avg. number of science & tech books published by all publishers =(380 + 492+ 326+ 200 + 290 + 340)/6 = 338 (ans)

2. Option B

→  Number of magazines published by F =
→  2750 – [620+340+330+360+650] =450
→  Number of magazines published by B =
→  1955 – [545+312+210+110+ 450] = 328
→  Given: no. of competitive exam books by E = 7 * no. of competitive books by D
→  700 = 7 * no. of cometitive books by D
→  No. of competitive books by D= 100
→  No. of competitive exam books by D = 100
→  No. of competitive exam books by B = 3495- [975+350+100+700+650] = 720
→  No. of story books published by B = 2765- [ 560+492+328+480+720] = 185
→  Ratio = Magazine by F : Magazine by  = 450 : 185 = 90: 37

3. Option C

→  Total no. of books published by A & C = 2964 + 2038 = 5002
→  Total no. of comics & competitive exam books published = 3115 + 3495 = 6610
→  Less percentage = [(6610 -5002)/ 6610] * 100 = 16080/661 = 24 %

4. Option A

→  Percentage = (310 * 100)/ 3115 = 10%

5. Option D

→ Story books published by B = 1955- [120+310+220+230+330] = 745
→  Literature books published by E and F = 475 + 360 = 835
