How to prepare for IBPS Exams

Published on Friday, June 14, 2013
After scoring 166 which could be higher I prepared for more than 2 weeks, Yes you heard right. I scored 166 in IBPS PO 2012 by preparing for two weeks. Now I am sharing few tips with my readers :-

Books to follow

I have already the books I followed with readers. Books are important part for preparing any competitive examination. You should study at least 1 book for each subject. There are endless books available for IBPS exams but sadly many of them misguides the students. I saw few books added added chapters of trigonometry and geometry whereas it is not part of syllabus.
Please read this post for list of suggested books.

How to score well in Quantitative section

Maths is the easiest and most scoring section. It takes least time to prepare and give an edge to you over your competitors. I have already covered a post on this tips and tricks for quantitative section, here it goes:-

Practice previous question papers

Practice makes a man perfect. This applies to IBPS exams too. Whether you are taking PO, Clerical or Specialist officers exam, time management is very important. You can learn to manage time with practice. You can download previous years question papers here to practice. These 47 question papers includes answer keys.

Prepare for all sections

I have seen many students unable to clear sectional cutoffs whereas they score really well in remaining sections. Highest scoring section in IBPS PO is computer awareness. Large number of students unable to score well but a student with average computer literacy level can score well in this section.
