General awareness section is the most scoring section in IBPS PO exam. Unlike other sections, this section takes few minutes to solve. Still candidates don't prepare for this section.

1) Monetary and Fiscal policy
In general awareness sections of other exams you need to know basics. But IBPS PO expects more from candidate. Read more about monetary policy, fiscal policy, exim policy and foreign trade policies.
At least one question is asked about SLR, CRR, Repo rate, Reverse repo rate etc.
2) National policies
In last two years many questions were asked about central development policies. Questions about Mahatma Gandhi rozgar yojna, sadak yojna and many other schemes were asked. I am writing a post on this topic and will post this within 2 days.
Last questions were annual expenditure on policies and full name of policies. Last time total value of Mhatma Gandhi Roozgar Yojna was aked in IBPS PO.
3) Banking terms and Financial terminology
In previous exams there were many questions about basic banking terms and financial terms. I have already posted study material on these topics. Further there were three questions which were asked from banking and financial terms4) Technology updates
Unlike other parts, basic questions are asked from this part. Last time questions were asked about mobile operating system and name of new tablet launched by Microsoft. While preparing for general awareness for IBPS PO special attention need to be given to banking industry.
