  • He jumps two places and is now at fourth position in Asia’a Order of Merit.
  • Indonesia Open, 2013 was played in Jakarta.
  • This is Bhullar’s fifth Asian Tour title.
  • Runner’s up in Indonesia Open, 2013: Chapchai Nirat (Thailand) and Nicolas Fung (Malaysia).
  • Indonesia Open is an annual event which started in 1974.

India and Sri Lanka join hands for naval ties.

  • The main focus will be on targeting pirates and terrorist groups operating in Indian Ocean.
  • The meeting was held between Sri Lanka’s permanent Defence Secretary, Lieutenant Colonel Gotabaya Rajapaksa and India’s National Security Advisor, Shiv Shankar Menon.

Poll campaigns end in Delhi.

  • Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung declared public holiday in Delhi on December 4 due to assembly polls.

Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko in a six day visit to India.

  • Focus on bilateral deal on peaceful use of Nuclear Energy.

Sonia Gandhi gifts a lot of things to Rae Bareli.

  • UPA Chair Person’s gift includes FM Rainbow Channel, roads and 13 bank branches.
  • The roads were built under the scheme PMGSY i.e. Prime Ministers Gram Sadak Yojana.
  • 13 branches of United bank Of India were inaugurated by Sonia Gandhi in a function organized in Kathwara Village in Harchandpur block. The branches will be spread across various parts of Rae Bareli.
  • Sonia Gandhi also laid the foundation for Rae Bareli- Maharajganj – Akbarganj rail line under Northern Railway.

December 3 is marked as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

  • National Awards for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, 2013 will be handed over by our Honorable President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee.

Shri MV Tanksale taken over as Chief Executive of Indian Bank Association (IBA).

  • Shri MV Tanksale will take guard on 1/12/2013. He retired as Chairman and Managing Director of Central Bank of India.
  • He succeeds Dr. K. Ramakrishnan, who deployed his services for 5 years till 30/11/2013.

Five East African country’s common currency deal.

  • Five Countries in EAC i.e. East African Community signed an agreement for common currency.
  • The five countries include a) Burundi (Capital: Bujumbura) b) Kenya (Capital: Nairobi) c) Rwanda (Capital: Kigali) d) Tanzania (Capital: Dodoma) e) Uganda (Capital: Kampala).
  • Keneyan President and Chairman of East African Community, Uhuru Kenyatta, feels that monetary union will lower transaction cost.
