Managing Director of SBI A. Krishna Kumar spread disappointment among all bank job aspirants While going through Livemint press release, MD of SBI clearly said that SBI will slow down the recruitment for next 2-3 years.
So all of you who were disappointed by this - Cheer up!! SBI don't want decrease the employee strength and large number of employees retires every year.

Right now, we have 2.23 lakh people working with us.We will try to keep the figure constant between 2.2 and 2.23 lakh over the next few years.Every year 3-5% employees retires from public sector banks. Mr. Krishan Kumar clearly said that they want to maintain the current numbers. So there will be at least 5000-7000 vacancies in State Bank of India. SBI have already released notification for the recruitment of specialist officers.
