Delhi High Court asked IBPS to Furnish Vacancies Details

Published on Thursday, July 24, 2014
IBPS is again helpless in front of candidates. As many of you might know that PO III candidates are protesting against IBPS selection process. IBPS changed the selection procedure after written exam by introducing 10% reserve list. Further it is mentioned in the notification that there will be no reserve list. Now it is against the trend. There trend that 25-30% of the selected candidates don't join due to location problem or they find better opportunities.

Vacancies of 21 PSU banks for the financial year 2014-2015 should be allotted to PO III candidates, but as there are much more vacancies than reserve list, Delhi High Court asked IBPS and Finance Ministry to furnish details of vacancies in 21 PSU banks within 1 month.

These development won't impact PO IV exam. This is a big success for PO III candidates who are protesting against IBPS. Last year IBPS faced similar protests and accepted the demand of candidates. There were 4 lists for PO II candidates.

This year IBPS mentioned in the PO IV notification that marks in written will not be declared. There is already lack of transparency in the selection procedure. Now IBPS is acting as a dictator who decides the fate of thousands of candidates. Lots of thing depends on clarification that IBPS will give to the Delhi High Court.

Outcomes of Second Hearing in Delhi High Court

  • Court asked IBPS to justify 10% reserve list clause
  • Court asked IBPS and Finance ministry to furnish details of vacancies in all 21 PSU banks for the year 2013-14 within 1 month

Further court asked IBPS that reserve list clause should be implemented from next financial year but there is no judgement about this till now. Right now we are waiting for the judgement.

I will update this website with new outcomes.
