On 29^th August, i.e. the birth anniversary of former Hockey Player Dhayan Chand, National Sports Day celebrated throughout the country. Dhyan Chand is also known as the Hockey Magician.
The new International Hockey Stadium inaugurated in Raipur on the eve of National Sports Day. This is the 2^nd International Hockey Stadium established in the State of Chhattisgarh, the first one was in Rajnandgaon.
