Politics
- Minsk Agreement related the ceasefire signed between Ukraine and pro-Russian rebels. Under this agreement, the fight will end between Ukraine and pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine which is going on since 5 months.
- According to the 6th Economic Census, Arunachal Pradesh has highest percentage of hired workers in all over India. Economic Census is complete count of all establishments located within the geographical boundaries of the country.
- The State of Bihar recognised the transgender as the third gender. Recently, in April 2014, Hon'ble Supreme Court of India made the judgment to recognize the transgender as the third gender and to treat them socially and economically backward and considered as OBCs. Firstly, Fergusson College, Pune recognised transgender as the third gender.
- MOU signed between India and Bangladesh in the field of traditional medicines and homeopathy. The basic aim of MOU is to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the health sector.
- Union Territory of Puducherry established the Rape Crisis Intervention Centre, one-stop centre to deal with any rape case relating to women or children. Recently, Government of India gave its nod to set up the Rape Crisis Centres in all the districts in all over India. Under this proposal, near about 660 Rape Crisis Centres will be establishes in all over India.

- On 10th September 2014, Cardless Cash Withdrawal Service launched by one of the largest private sector banks i.e. ICICI Bank Ltd. With the help of this service, every customer of ICICI Bank Ltd. can transfer money from his account to anyone with the help of his mobile number.
Deaths
- The renowned Nazrul Sangeet Singer of Bangladesh Firoza Begum died on 09th September 2014. She awarded with Nazrul Sammanana Award 2012 by government of West Bengal.
- Richard Kiel (full name Richard Dawson Kiel), the renowned Hollywood Actor died on 10th September 2014. He was also known for his role of steel-toothed jaws in the James Bond movies.

- Subhash Chandra Garg appointed as the Executive Director of World Bank. Now, the President of the World Bank is Jim Yong Kim.
Science and Technology
- Agni-1 Missile successfully test fired by Strategic Force Command of India, the missile developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The Missile launched from the Integrated Test Rage at Wheeler Island, off the Odisha Coast.
