- Padmini Prakash became the first transgender television news anchor in India. She became the news anchor of Coimbatore based Lotus News Channel. Padmini Prakash won several transgender beauty contests.
- IndiGo, an Indian Airline Company, signed an agreement with Industrial and Commercial Bank of India Ltd. (ICBC) to purchase 30 A320 Aircrafts. IndigGo is low cost carrier and the largest airline in India and has its Headquarter at Gurgaon.

- The Sports Ministry of Union Government decided to honour Boxer Manoj Kumar with Arjuna Award. Recently, Manoj Kumar approached Delhi High Court to challenge the list of selected Arjuna Awardee players by the Selection Committee.
- Li Na, the Chinese Grand Slam Winner announced her retirement at the age of 32. She became the first Tennis player to represent any Asian Country in a Grand Slam singles final in the year 2011 at Australian Tennis Open.

- Vintage Dakota Aircraft gifted by Indian Air Force to Bangladesh Air Force. Dakota was the first transport aircraft which to be landed at the 11500 feet height in Leh by the pilot Wing Commander Shri Mehar Singh.
- France joined United States of America to conduct the military strikes against Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. France became first country to join USA against ISIS.
- The Country Sierra Leone launched the controversial three days shutdown to contain the deadly spread of fatal Ebola Virus.
- United Nations released populations projection based upon the data until 2012. The projection revealed that the total population of the World will reach 11 Billion by the year 2100.
