- According to 6th Delhi Economic Census 2013 released by Directorate of Economics and Statistics of Delhi, the average employment size per enterprise in Delhi is 3.34 while the national average is 2.18.
- BNP Paribas launched Equity Index Linked Green Bond with the World Bank which will help raise funds for the products who seeking to mitigate climate change. BNP Paribas is French bank and its headquarter is in Paris and global headquarter is in London.

- Hockey India inducted Hockey Village India as an Academy Member to reach out to the children who are keen to make a carrer in the sport. Hockey Village India established in the year 2010 in Rajasthan.
- 17th Asian Games started at Asiad Main Stadium in Incheon, South Korea with theme of ‘Meet Asia’s Future’.
- News SMS Service of All India Radio launched by Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry in 5 Indian languages. The languages are:

- 30th September declared as US-India Partnership Day by the US Senate, the Upper House of United States Congress.
- India and China agreed to establish the Joint Working Group to promote facilitation in the film sector. The group will meet in International Film Festival India 2014 which will be held in November 2014 in Goa.
- Tarun Gogoi, the Chief Minister of Assam launched the scheme of Angel Fund, the fund launched to help the first generation entrepreneurs and youths to set up micro and small enterprises in the State of Assam. Under the scheme, the first generation entrepreneurs can get the maximum loan of Rs.5 Lac at 5% p.a.
- Siddaramaiah, the Chief Minister of Karnataka launched the Unicode based mobile application in Kannada language (the regional language of State of Karnataka) for android phones.
- On 21st September 2014, Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai chosen as the next President of Afghanistan after conducting Presidential elections.
- John Key (full name John Phillip Key), Prime Minister of New Zealand won the third time on 20th September 2014. He led to the New Zealand National Party.
