- India will give contribution of $12 million to United Nations for fight with Ebola Virus, the virus mainly spread in African countries.
- The Price Stabilization Fund for green tea leaf launched by the State Government of Tamil Nadu.
- ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Yojana’ launched by the Union Government of India to strengthen the poor people of urban and rural areas. The yojana will cover 4041 statutory towns and cities.
- Total Rs.62,000 Crore allocated for Swachh Bharat Mission which is launched recently by the Union Government of India and will be implement from 02nd October onwards on the eve of Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

- Hatf IX, the short range surface to surface missile test fired by Pakistan. Before this, Pakistan had tested the Hatf IX missiles in the year 2011 and 2012.
