Why You Failed in IBPS PO IV and how to Overcome

Published on Friday, November 21, 2014
IBPS PO IV and SBI Clerk exam results are out now. It's fact that number of candidates who failed is more than who passed. I am getting mails from dozens of candidates who failed in both exams and those who are failing since last 2-3 years.

Our society is filled with Worshipers of the rising sun

Your strategy is wrong

Ok you were doing really well at mock tests. Many of your friends were pretty sure that you will crack this exam. You were able solve any Quantitative Aptitude or Reasoning questions within 3-4 minutes.

But...

You FAILED!!!

The reason was bad time management. Read my previous post for Time management.

You are unable to sit in front of Computer screen for a long time

Many students use printed magazines for practice mock tests. At the time of exams, there are unable to sit in the front for 2 hours with full strength.

You are going to appear for online exams so you need to make a habit to read online.

You are really bad at English

This is the most common problem of candidates who fails. Quick tip to improve your English - Read English newspapers and listen to Hollywood music with lyrics.

I will start English Preparation series for you within next few weeks.

You don't have time for preparations

I don't have any solution for this problem. Solve it Yourself!

Your study material is not up to the mark

You blindly trust your Coaching Institute and they are after money. They will try to remove difficult questions from their material because they need "Expensive Teachers" to teach them. Such find of teacher will charge Rs 800-1000 for a lecture but their budget is Rs. 300-400. So they provide easiest questions which won't help you in exams.

Read list of my recommended books

Get Quantitative Aptitude Made Easy book for practice and shortcut techniques.

You are still reading those old printed magazines

I use to read "Competition Master","Yojna" and "Reader Digest" regularly in my college library. That wasn't for any exam preparation. I wanted to learn about Government policies, Sudoku, Workouts articles, international policies and lot more.

Now things have been changed. In the age of Online Exams, if you are appearing for IBPS Clerk exam on 7 December 2014, you need to read current affairs upto 6 December 2014. So these printed magazines are useless for current affairs.

You don't know the basics

I think it's right time to revise you syllabus. You should concentrate on Marks Rich questions.

I know you don't have much resources to buy anything. I will try to bring free material to you as much as possible.

Never lose hope, I am always with you. In case you are facing any problem then please mail me - monty.exe@gmail.com
