- The Government of India has notified Printing of One Rupee Current Notes Rules 2015 and One Rupee Note will be re-launched in the year 2015 which was discontinued earlier in the year 1994 due to the high cost.
- Reliance Capital signed an agreement with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank of Japan.
- Etihad Airways became first airline company who launched three room suite service on its planes during December 2014. Etihad Airways is airline company United Arab Emirates.

- Good Governance Day observed in all over India on 25th December 2014 on the Birthday of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
- ‘Mission Indradhanush’ launched by Government of India on 25th December 2014 to achieve full immunication coveral for all children by the year 2020.
- On 23rd December 2014, Union Ministry of Home Affairs set up Mathur Committee headed by former Justice G.P. Mathur to re-investiagate the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
