  • Divya Prakash Sinha appointed as Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat on 25th January 2015. 

Politics

  • Dubai International Airport emerged as World’s Busiest International Aiport during the year 2014. 
  • The winter snow storm ‘Juno’ hit the North-East States of United States of America on 27th January 2015. 
  • Yingluck Shinawatra, former Prime Minister of Thailand impeached on 23rd January 2015 by an army backed Parliament. She became 1st Prime Minister of Thauiland to be impeaced by Parliamanet. At present, the Prime Minister of Thailand is Prayut Chan-o-cha.

  • Juan Roman Riquelme, Football player of Argentina retired from Football on 26th January 2015.

Deaths

  • Demis Roussos, the famous singer of Greece, died on 26th January 2015. He was 68 years old. 

Awards

  • Prakash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of the State of Punjab awarded with Padma Vibhushan. He served for 5 times as Chief Minister of Punjab.
