Supreme Court cancelled Jaat reservation 

  • Supreme Court of India declared the decision null and void of Government of India to include Jats in the Central OBC list on 17th March 2015.
  • SC recommended that government should provide reservation to transgenders and caste, historical injustice can't be the basis for providing reservation.  

Abid Ali Neemuchwala appointed as COO of Wipro

  • Abid Ali Neemuchwala appointed as COO and Group President of Wipro Limited on 16th March 2015. 

Ashu Suyash appointed as MD of CRISIL

  • Ashu Suyash appointed as MD and CEO of Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited (CRISIL) on 16th March 2015 succeeded by Roopa Kudva. 

Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Bill, 2015 passed

  • Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Bill, 2015 passed by the State of Haryana Legislative Assembly on 16th March 2015. 
  • This bill bans slaugther and sale of beef in Haryana

NPA Report of RBI

  • According to the report of Reserve Bank of India, the non-performing assets of public sector banks as on December 2014 is Rs.2,60,531 Crore. 

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company became largest private insurer

  • ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company became the private company in India to cross Rs.1 Lakh Crore mark in Assets Under Management during March 2015.
