• V. Shanmuganathan appointed as Governor of Meghalaya, Draupaid Murmu appointed as Governor of Jharkhand, Tathagata Roy appointed as Governor of Tripura and J.P. Rakkhowa appointed as Governor of Arunachal Pradesh as announced on 12th May 2015.

Arvind Saxena appointed as Member of UPSC

• Arvind Saxena appointed as Member of Union Public Service Commission on 07^th May 2015.
• The Indian city Hyderabad became 1^st in India to get Google Street View as announced on 12^th May 2015. Larry Page is the CEO of Google.

Neel Mukherjee won Encore Award

• Neel Mukherjee won Encore Award for the year 2014 on 12th May 2015 for his Novel namely ‘The Lives of Others’. Neel Mukherjee was published his 1st Novel in the year 2010 namely ‘A Life Apart’.

Prof. Dr.Sivanadane Mandjiny won UNC’s Award

• Prof. Dr.Sivanadane Mandjiny, an Indian-American won UNC’s Award for Excellence in Teaching for the year 2015 on 12th May 2015. At present, he is serving as Professor in University of North Carolina, USA.

Samajwadi Shudha Payjal Yojana launched

• The scheme namely Samajwadi Shudha Payjal Yojana launched by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh on 12th May 2015 with the aim to provide water for bus passengers at affordable price.

• Chris Burden, the famous POP Artist of USA, died on 10th May 2015. He became famous for his work namely ‘Shoot’ in the year 1971. His famous works were ‘Trans-fixed’ and ‘For Through the Night Softly’ etc.
