A.P.J. Abdul Kalam died
- A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam), the former President of India, died on 27th July 2015. He was 11th President of India and also known as ‘Missile Man of India’. He was awarded with Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Bharat Ratna awards. He also wrote the famous book titled as ‘India 2020’.
Kargil Vijay Diwas observed
- 16th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas observed in all over the nation on 26th July 2015. Earlier, in the year 26th July 1999, Indian Army defeated Pakistani Army and that war also called as ‘Operation Vijay’.
Dinanagar came under terrorist attack
- Dinanagar, the town in Gurdaspur District of Punjab has came under terrorist attack on 27th July 2015. Almost 7 persons killed in the attack. The town is situated near Pakistan border.
Rajahmundry renamed as Rajamahendravaram
- Rajahmundry, the historical city of Andhra Pradesh renamed as Rajamahendravaram as announced by Chief Minister of the State N. Chandrababu Naidu on 25th July 2015.
Chris Froome won Tour de France 2015
- Chris Froome of Kenyan born British professional Cyclist won Tour de France 2015 on 26th July 2015 and became 1st British to won this championship.
