  • Gadhimai Temple Trust of Nepal banned animal sacrifice at Gadhimai Festival on 28th July 2015. The festival held after every 5 years.

Visaaranai enter in Venice International Film Festival

  • The Tamil film namely ‘Visaaranai’ became 1st Tamil film to enter in Venice International Film Festival which will be held in September 2015.

World Population Prospects 2015 released

  • According to the report of World Population Prospects 2015, India will become most populous country in all over the World by the year 2022.

Yakub Memon executed at Nagpur Central Jail

  • Yakub Memon, the accused of 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, executed on 30th July 2015 at Nagpur Central Jail. Earlier, the President rejected his mercy petition.

Registration of Sahara Mutual Fund cancelled

  • The registration of Sahara Mutual Fund cancelled by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on 28th July 2015. Upendra Kumar Sinha is the Chairman of SEBI.

Dr.Suniti Solomon died

  • Dr.Suniti Solomon died on 29th July 2015. She became famous for led the team that was the first to document evidence of HIV infection in India in the year 1986. She known as pioneer in treating HIV patients.

Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam cremated in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu

  • Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India cremated with full state honours on 30th July 2015 at his hometown i.e. Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. He also known as ‘Missile Man of India’ and ‘People’s President’.

India is at 11th position in FDI

  • According the report of AT Kearney, India has lost its top 10 positions for the first time since the year 2002 in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) during the year 2014.

Ashwani Kumar given an award of Rs.50,000

  • On 27th July 2015, Ashwani Kumar given an award of Rs.50,000 for his alertness and courage in detecting the bomb planted on a railway bridge in the District Gurdaspur, Punjab.

  • On 29th July 2015, the Car make Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire became the first sedan in India to cross 10 Lakh cumulative sales during July 2015.
