- AB de Villiers of South Africa broke the record of fastest 8000 ODI runs on 26th August 2015 in the match played against New Zealand in Durban, South Africa. He completed his 8000 runs in 182 innings. Earlier, Sourav Ganguly created this record in 200 innings.
