    Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) signed between India and Maldives

    • Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) signed between India and Maldives on Criminal matters on 20th October 2015 as approved by Union Cabinet of India. The President of Maldives is Abdulla Yameen. Capital and Currency is Male and Rufiyaa respectively.

    MCOCA passed in Maharashtra

    • Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) passed in Maharashtra against the hoarders and black marketers as approved on 20th October 2015. Earlier, the law was enacted in 1999.

    • K. Chockalingam, famous criminologist, won Paul H. Appleby Award on 20th October 2015 as presented by Indian Institute of Public Administration. He is the founder of Indian Society of Victimology (ISV).
