  • Men’s singles title of China Open won by Novak Djokovic of Serbia, Women’s singles title won by Garbine Muguruza of Spain, Men’s doubles title won by Vasek Pospisil of Canada and Jack Sock of USA, Women’s doubles title won by Sania Mirza of India and Martina Hingis of Switzerland.

Tamil actress Manorama died

  • Manorama, the famous Tamil Actress died on 10th October 2015. She awarded with Padma Shri in 2002, also awarded with National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1989.

  • Ajay Jayaram won Dutch Open Grand Prix Badminton tournament on 11th October 2015, became 1st India to win Badminton Grand Prix tournament under 11x5 scoring system. Earlier, he won Korea Open Badminton tournament also. He won 3 international titles yet i.e. New Zealand Open, Thailand Open and Czech Open.

Lewis Hamilton won Russian Grand Prix of Formula 1

  • Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes Driver) of Britain won Russian Grand Prix of Formula 1 on 11th October 2015. It is his 9th title in 2015. The list is: Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, China, Italy, Japanese, Russia and UK. He became 1st British driver won highest number of titles.

Punjab National Bank won Beighton Cup of Hockey

  • Punjab National Bank won Beighton Cup of Hockey on 11th October 2015 after defeating Indian Oil Corporation. The Cup was established in the year 1895, it is considered as the oldest hockey tournament. The event is organized by Bengal Hockey Association.

International Day of Girl Child observed on 11th October 2015

  • International Day of Girl Child observed on 11th October 2015 under the theme ‘The Power of the Adolescent Girl: Vision for 2030’. In 2011, on the resolution of Canada, UNGA approved it as International Day of Girl Child.
