  • Former Army Chief General Kotikalapudi Venkata Krishna Rao, passed away in New Delhi following a cardiac arrest at the military hospital. 

Datta Padsalgikar appointed as Mumbai Police Commissioner 

  • Senior IPS officer Datta Padsalgikar has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police of Mumbai. He will be 40th Police Commissioner of Mumbai. 

British TV and Radio presenter Terry Wogan passes away 

  • Veteran British TV and radio presenter Sir Terry Wogan passed away in London after long battle with cancer. In Britain, he was one of the most popular personalities on both radio and television for several decades and often described his profession as jobbing broadcaster.

 30th Surajkund International Crafts Mela begins at Faridabad 

  • The 30th edition of Surajkund International Crafts Mela has begun at Faridabad in Haryana after it was formally inaugurated by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

 

 India Women Lose Final T20I vs Australia, Clinch Series 2-1 

  • Australia women clinched the third and final Twenty20 International by 15 runs but visitors India lifted the trophy with a 2-1 series victory at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) here on Sunday.
