As many other organizations are conducting online examinations for recruitment
Why Online exams -
1) Quick procedure - In case of pen-paper examinations, results and hence results are delayed for months. While in online examinations, results are available to the organization ion real time.
2) High security - In case of paper-pencil exams, there is huge probability of question paper leakage. In case of NICL 2013 question paper was leaked twice. Such things never happens in case of online tests.
3) Right now candidates are not taking SSC CGL seriously as they need to wait for a long time for placement. Bank exams are getting lots of attention because of their smooth and quick selection procedure. SSC should follow their steps.
Only bad thing that will happen after online CGL 2015 is that IBPS will get more power. There is high probability that SSC will outsource the online exam segment to IBPS as many other organizations like SEBI, RBI, SBI and all PSU banks are doing so,
