- Specialization Rule: In dual specialization, one must be in the prescribed field; in major/minor, the major must match. PG (MBA/MMS/PG Diploma) with more than two specializations are not eligible.
- Eligibility Proof: Only prescribed qualifications and work experience count—no equivalents. Certificates must clearly establish eligibility during screening and verification.
Probation & Bond Period
- The selected candidates in Scale II, III and IV posts will be on probation for a period of 1 year from the date of joining. Their confirmation in the Bank’s service will be decided in terms of the provisions of Indian Bank Officers Service Regulations, 1979 (as amended up to date).
- Appointed candidates must serve a minimum of 2 years and give 3 months’ written notice before resignation. They must sign a Financial‑cum‑Surety Bond; leaving early requires repayment of ₹3 lakhs (MMG Scale‑II & above), salary for the unserved notice period, and training/other costs incurred by the Bank.

- *Qualifying in nature and marks secured in these sections will not be reckoned for final result.
- 1/4th of the mark allotted to the respective question for which a wrong answer is given. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
- Candidates shortlisted for interview = 3× vacancies (Unreserved) and 5× vacancies (Reserved). Final numbers may vary at interview stage. Cut‑offs will be fixed based on vacancies and total marks.
- Total marks in the interview will be 100.
- Minimum Qualifying marks in Test and Interview
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (UR/EWS) and 35% (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). Bank may lower cut‑offs if needed. Candidates must qualify separately in both Written/Online Test and Interview to be in the merit list.
- If both Written / Online Test and Interview are held, the weightage (ratio) for Written / Online Test and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
- If selection is made by shortlisting of applications followed by Interview, the weightage (ratio) will be 100 % of the Interview Score.
- Merit Order in Test, Interview and Final Merit List
- In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score in Test / Interview, merit order shall be decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before / above the candidate junior in age).
