Tips to Solve

Precede means come before. So, in these questions we need the first sentence for the paragraph.
To solve such questions, first read the given paragraph carefully and try to understand the context. Then again read the first line and notice pronouns like these, it, they, he etc. After noticing the pronouns, read the given options and try to relate them logically to the paragraph.

Solution 1

The given paragraph:
These range from the simple to the complex — allergies, cold and cough, skin conditions (rashes, hives etc.), gastrointestinal issues (peptic ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, colitis etc.), insomnia, muscular aches and pains, certain cancers, autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis, and degenerative neurological disorders like Parkinson’s disease — to name a few.
THESE indicate we have to select the option having something plural in it.
Then allergies, cold, cough indicates it is about diseases.
These range from gives the hint that we need some common name for diseases.

Option A: Many emotional and physical disorders are stress related.
                                ↓
(Plural+ Diseases+ common name for all the diseases)

Option B: Stress impacts all the key body systems: nervous, musculosketal, respiratory, reproductive, endocrine, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal. While some stress can be a good driving force, excessive or uncontrolled levels are detrimental, creating physical and emotional upheavals.
In option B, impacts of stress are discussed. We do not need impacts.

Option C: There are several common signs and symptoms of stress, some quite obvious, others not so. Stress can emanate from anywhere — home, workplace or due to sudden developments.
In option C, signs and symptoms are given.

Option D: It can be a transient response to ad hoc situations or worse, become more permanent in response to lifestyle, enterprise demands and unpleasant life events.
The very first sentence cannot start with it. So, option D cannot be the answer.

Thus, the correct option is A.

Solution 2.

The given paragraph:
WhatsApp’s Status feature lets users share photos, GIFs or videos overlaid with drawings, emojis and a caption that will be visible to selected friends for 24 hours, before disappearing. WhatsApp has been rolling out updates and features to make the app more secure for its users.
The first sentence is giving general information about WhatsApp’s Status feature. And the second sentence is about recent update to make it more secure.

Option A: The social networking app recently rolled out a two-step verification process for all devices to enhance the security of users’ accounts.
There is nothing about verification process in the first sentence. So, option A may be linked with the second sentence but not with the first.

Option B: WhatsApp was recently surrounded by controversy when a Guardian report alleged that the WhatsApp messages can be read or intercepted.
Again linked with security and not giving any general information.

Option C: However, WhatsApp claimed that the messages and calls on its platform are end-to-end encrypted by default.
Generally the very first sentence cannot start with however (used for contradiction).

Option D: Popular messaging platform WhatsApp has updated to “Status” feature that allows users to share images and videos with their contacts on WhatsApp in a secure way.
Popular messaging platform - Introducing Whats App.
Updated to “Status” feature – Giving general information about new status feature.
So, option D is the correct option.

Solution 3.

The given paragraph:
“Any such reaction [ban] to a report on an important global issue like the appropriate way to combat poaching would be extremely disappointing,” it said. On February 27, an office memorandum issued by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), urged the Ministry of External Affairs to revoke the visas of BBC’s South Asia correspondent Justin Rowlatt and his crew, and prevent “their further entry into India, for a period not less than five years”.
The first sentence clearly indicates that we need the option in which someone has said something negative about ban.
Option B: The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has described its ‘programme’ on conservation of rhinoceros at the Kaziranga National Park as “balanced and impartial.
In option B, BBC is saying something. It is speaking against ban and describing its programme as balanced and impartial. So, option B is the correct answer.

Solution 4

In these questions we need the last (or concluding) sentence for the paragraph.
The given paragraph:
The idea of combining business and leisure is what makes young professionals look forward to official tours within the country and offshore. While work is a must, a little fun at the end of the day is the welcome cherry on the cake. All work and no fun after all, kills one’s motivation and productivity.
The given paragraph is in favour of combining work and fun during official trips. So, the concluding line should follow the same theme. Thus, option C is the correct option.
Option C:  So, not checking the night life, food scene, shopping malls or catching up with friends you are visiting in that city, would be a criminal waste of the opportunity in flying in another city or country.

Solution 5.

The given paragraph:

Her rented house at Bains Compound, Nanthancode, opens to a traditional structure nestled among trees, potted plants, creepers, flowering plants... The unassuming, tiled house is an oasis in itself. The best part about the room is that she can observe her garden.
The paragraph is about residence of architect Liza R S. In the end, it is about that she can observe (see) her garden from her room. The option A is related with this.
Option A: She can see a lot of things happening outside.

Solution 6.

The given paragraph:
