  • Vatayan Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to writers, poets, etc. by London based organisation Vatayan.

2. Vinisha Umashankar

  • A Class 8th student, Vinisha Umashankar of Tamil Nadu, won the Children’s Climate Prize.
  • The prize is given Sweden's Children’s Climate Foundation.
  • Vinisha has been awarded for innovative design for a solar ironing cart. The cart operates by using solar panels to power a steam iron box.

  • Girish Chandra Murmu has been elected as the External Auditor of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
  • His tenure is of 3 years.
  • IPU is an international organisation of national parliaments and currently have 179 member and 13 associate members.
