Eligibility — TFO-IBG (JMGS-I)

Age as on 31.07.2026

  • Minimum: 21 years.
  • Maximum: 30 years.
  • Upper age relaxation applies as per Government of India rules.

Mandatory Qualification

  • Graduate in any discipline from a Government-recognised University / Institution.
  • Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF.
  • The certificate must be dated on or before 31.07.2026.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience must be in Trade Finance processing and operations.
  • Experience must mandatorily be in an Officer / Official role in a scheduled commercial bank.
  • Maker-role experience is preferred.
Important: Teaching and training experience will not be counted for eligibility.

Eligibility — TFO-IBG (MMGS-II)

Age as on 31.07.2026

  • Minimum: 23 years.
  • Maximum: 32 years.
  • Upper age relaxation applies as per Government of India rules.

Mandatory Qualification

  • Graduate in any discipline from a Government-recognised University / Institution.
  • Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF.
  • The certificate must be dated on or before 31.07.2026.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience must be in Trade Finance processing.
  • Experience must mandatorily be in an Officer / Official role in any scheduled commercial bank.
Important: The experience certificate must specifically mention experience in the related field.

Preferred Certifications for Both Posts

Any one of the following certifications, dated on or before 31.07.2026, is preferred but not mandatory.

Group A

  • CDCS — Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (LIBF).
  • CSDG — Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees (LIBF).
  • CTFP — Certified Trade Finance Professional (ICC Academy).

Group B

  • GTC — Global Trade Certificate (ICC Academy).
  • CITF — Certificate in International Trade Finance (LIBF).
  • Certificate in International Trade Finance (IIBF).

Points to Note

  • Cumulative age relaxation is not allowed.
  • Benchmark disability means not less than 40% of a specified disability.
  • OBC creamy layer candidates must apply as UR.
  • EWS candidates without the FY2025-26 Income & Asset Certificate must apply as UR.

Selection Process

  1. Online Application: Register and pay the applicable fee between 29.08.2026 and 19.09.2026 with all required documents uploaded.
  2. Shortlisting: A committee decides the shortlisting parameters. Merely meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not provide a right to an interview.
  3. Interview: The interview carries 100 marks. Qualifying marks are decided by the Bank.
  4. Merit List: The merit list is prepared in descending order based only on interview scores. In case of a tie, the older candidate is ranked higher.
Selection rule: There is no written examination. Final merit is based on interview performance after shortlisting.

Job Profile — Maker Role (JMGS-I)

Job Profile

  • Inputs trade transactions.
  • Scans and uploads documents into banking systems.
  • Handles TI+ data entry for trade finance transactions.
  • Conducts document scrutiny before submission for approvals.
  • Inputs screening data and ensures correct entry into screening systems.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Accurate and efficient data entry of allotted trade finance / forex transactions.
  • Achieve productivity norms by transaction product type.
  • Maintain average TAT within benchmarked limits of more than 90%.
  • Meet transaction-processing volume expectations per month.
  • Complete internal certifications and process-learning modules.
  • Participate in workshops and new product / process training.

Job Profile — Checker Role (MMGS-II)

Job Profile

  • Conducts TI+ checking to validate transaction details.
  • Performs document scrutiny to verify accuracy.
  • Facilitates screening scrutiny against sanctions and AML policies.
  • Validates compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Acts as OFAC releaser for sanctions screening and transaction approvals.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Check transaction data entered by Makers against trade documents.
  • Monitor staff performance and productivity.
  • Maintain average TAT within benchmarked limits of more than 90%.
  • Identify and minimise delayed transactions.
  • Close or resend all rejected / incomplete transactions.
  • Complete Risk, AML and Compliance training and participate in RCSA.

  • No written exam: Selection is purely through shortlisting and a 100-mark interview.
  • Specialist cadre only: There is no provision for conversion into the General cadre.
  • Both posts allowed: An eligible candidate may apply separately for JMGS-I and MMGS-II.
  • No corrections later: No change or modification is allowed after the application window closes.
  • Teaching experience: Teaching and training experience is not counted for eligibility.
  • Disciplinary proceedings: Candidates with pending or contemplated proceedings are not eligible.
  • Updates on website: Corrigenda, results and call letters are hosted online or communicated by email.
  • Interview travel: Outstation candidates are eligible for reimbursement of economy airfare up to ₹10,000 to-and-fro.
