Certifications should be valid/current at the time of application, verifiable through certificate IDs and issuing body portals. Preference for NISM Series-V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors) if experience includes product sales. |
- Dual specialization: one must be in the prescribed field.
- Major/minor: major must be in the prescribed stream.
- PG Degree/Diploma with more than two specializations → not eligible.
- Only prescribed qualifications/experience count; no equivalents accepted.
- Certificates must clearly establish eligibility during screening/verification.
- Probation & Bond Period
- The selected candidates in Scale I posts will be on probation for a period of 02 years and the selected candidates in Scale II, and III posts will be on probation for a period of 01 year, from the date of joining. Their confirmation in the Bank’s service will be decided in terms of the provisions of Indian Bank Officers Service Regulations, 1979 (as amended up to date).
- An appointed candidate must serve a minimum of two years in the Bank and cannot resign without giving three months’ written notice. They are required to sign a Financial cum Surety Bond committing to this period. If they leave early, they must repay the bond amount (₹2 lakhs for JMG Scale‑I and ₹3 lakhs for MMG Scale‑II & above), along with salary for the unserved notice period and training/other costs incurred by the Bank. This ensures service stability and protects the Bank’s investment in employee development.

- 1/4th of the mark allotted to the respective question for which a wrong answer is given. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
- Candidates shortlisted for interview = 3× vacancies (Unreserved) and 5× vacancies (Reserved). Final numbers may vary at interview stage. Cut‑offs will be fixed based on vacancies and total marks.
- Total marks in the interview will be 100.
- The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for Unreserved/EWS and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates in both the test and interview. Candidates must qualify separately in each stage to be included in the merit list. If sufficient candidates are not available, the Bank may lower the qualifying marks or cut‑off at its discretion.
- If both Written / Online Test and Interview are held, the weightage (ratio) for Written / Online Test and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
- If selection is made by shortlisting of applications followed by Interview, the weightage (ratio) will be 100% of the Interview Score.
- In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score in Test / Interview, merit order shall be decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before / above the candidate junior in age).
