Eligibility is considered as on 01.08.2026.
Educational Qualification
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or Institution approved by the Government of India or AICTE.
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of RBI.
Experience in the clerical cadre is not counted.
Age Limit
Minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 30 years. Category-wise relaxation applies as prescribed.
Local Language Requirement
Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of the State for which they apply.
Exclusion: Serving Bank of Baroda officers or contract staff, and candidates who exited an officer-grade post in the previous three years, cannot apply.
Preferred Certifications
The following certifications are not mandatory, but Bank of Baroda lists them as preferred qualifications for the LBO post.
- IC 38: Insurance Institute of India insurance agents certification.
- NISM Series V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination.
- NISM Series XXI-A: Portfolio Management Services Distributors Certification.
- NISM Series XIII: Common Derivatives Certification Examination.
Experience Rule: Post-qualification experience of less than six months in any organisation is not counted unless it forms part of the candidate's current employment.

- Separate Timing: Every section has its own 30-minute time limit.
- English is qualifying only: Marks obtained in the English Language section are not counted in the final merit list.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.
- There is no penalty for unattempted questions.
Selection Process
- Online Test: The test carries 120 marks. Candidates must meet sectional cut-offs as well as the overall cut-off decided by the Bank.
- Language Proficiency Test: This is mandatory for shortlisted candidates. Candidates are exempted if their Class 10 or Class 12 marksheet shows the local language as a subject.
- Group Discussion / Personal Interview: Minimum qualifying marks are 60% for General candidates and 55% for Reserved category candidates.
- Document Verification: Candidates must produce original documents along with self-attested copies at the interview stage.
- Medical Examination: Selected candidates must undergo a pre-joining medical test at their own expense before joining formalities.
Merit List: The merit list is prepared State-wise and category-wise. If candidates are tied at the cut-off, they are ranked by age in descending order.
Pay Scale, Probation and Service Bond

One advance increment is granted for one year or more of officer experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.
