Doubts regarding IBPS PO result - FAQ

Published on Friday, November 29, 2013
HI readers, today I am going to share most common questions asked by IBPS PO aspirants. Aspirants are not aware about common terms and candidature of many readers have been cancelled. One of our regular reader Ashish, wrote a detailed post about common IBPS PO result FAQ.

Ashish has tried to compile every information regarding the result, even if something is not clear to you, then you can comment below. I will try to answer your query as early as possible

Frequently Asked Questions

I m provisionally shortlisted for an interview, what will happen next?

Friends word “provisionally” is written, because selection is subjected to further scrutiny, u will be getting chance for interview, and final merit off course written + interview

Provisionally not selected?

Failed i.e you have not been made it through securing the minimal cutoffs

Candidature cancelled?

Any unethical practice, improper submission, pressing wrong keys in exam etc

How many vacancies this time for IBPS PO?

Near about 22 thousands

How many selected in written examination?

Near about 57,000 (Updated, previously Ashish wrote it to be 1 lac, but after verification, I found it to be 57,000, call IBPS helpline for clarification)

How do you know it ?

IBPS has planned this time not to go for 2nd and third allotments, reasoned total number of candidates are being selected in written already , this has increased written qualifiers up to 1 lac (This is Ashish's view, I am not sure about this)

How many will be place finally, what will take place of 2nd and 3rd allotment?

22,000 almost who comes in topper lists, will be allotted seats, rest of the candidates will be left with their scores, at the time if anyone leaves and vacancy get created, next top waiting list candidate who is ready with his full and final score will be directly called with no other formalities (as are done previously) , hence ratio of selected candidates is 5 on 1 seats (till written and provisional interview status)

How to prepare for interview ?

This post was originally a comment by Ashish Tiwari, as many readers are repeatedly asking these questions again and again, I started to write on this topic. While researching for the topic and answering comments, I saw Ashish's comment. I found his comment really useful, so I am converting this comment comment into a post so that fellow readers can get information.
