The JAIIB (Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers) exam is a flagship certification offered by the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) to enhance the professional knowledge of banking employees.

Exam Schedule

  • Held twice a year: May and November

Eligibility

  1. The examination is open only to the ordinary members of the Institute (Any person working in the banking and finance industry whose employer is an Institutional member of the Institute can apply for membership. For details visit the IIBF website).
  2. Candidates must have passed the 12th standard examination in any discipline or its equivalent. The Institute may, however at its discretion, allow any candidate from clerical or supervisory staff cadre of banks to appear at the examination on the recommendation of the Manager of the bank/ officer-in-charge of the bank’s office where the candidate is working, even if he/ she is not 12th standard pass or its equivalent.
  3. Subordinate staff of recognized Banking/ Financial Institutions in India, who are members of the Institute, are eligible to appear at the examination, provided they have passed the 12th standard examination or its equivalent.

JAIIB 2025 Registration Dates & Late Fees

The details of the IIBF JAIIB Registration Fees details are as follows:

JAIIB Exam Fee Based on Attempts

The details of the JAIIB Examination Fees are as follows:

First Attempt ₹4,000 + GST
Second Attempt ₹1,300 + GST
Third Attempt ₹1,300 + GST
Fourth Attempt ₹1,300 + GST
Fifth Attempt ₹1,300 + GST

Passing Criteria:

  • Pass with 50/100 per subject
  • OR 45+ in each subject + aggregate 50% in one attempt
  • Credits retained for passed subjects till time limit expires

Time Limit for Passing the Examination:

  • 5 attempts within 3 years from registration
  • If exhausted, candidate must re-enrol and start fresh
  • Attempts counted at time of registration, regardless of appearance
