Alligation and Mixtures - Concept with Examples {Video}

Today I am going to explain one of the very important chapter of quantitative aptitude. Alligation method is used to solve complex weighted average problems quickly.

Lets me explain you with a diagram
alligation and mixtures

In the above example A1 and A2 are two elements. One important point you should note that if A1 and A2 are in kg then Aavg should also be in kg.

In third row we get ratio.

I have explained this chapter properly with examples in the video.

I wrote a detailed post on this chapter here

  11. Sir in your video I got clear idea regarding this ...but only thing in video that I am not getting is that in second example ...in problem it is given to earn 25% on profit....but at the time of explaining you told that 25% on cost price means 20% on selling price ..how it is?? Pleease explain sir...else all things were really heplful....thank you

    1. Assume cost price is 100 and selling price is 125.

      Selling is making 20% profit (1/5) on sales value and 25% (1/4) profit on cost.

      You need to deduct 1 from denominator in case of profit and add 1 to denominator in case of loss.
